Refund Policies

There are several conditions under which you will be eligible for a full or partial refund.

Late Delivery

If your order arrives late, but still in good condition, due to an error made by Foods of New York or by the delivery carrier, $65 will be refunded to your credit card (the other $10 of our standard shipping charge is for the cost of the insulated container and the ice packs).

If your order is late due to weather, an incorrect address on your order form, no safe place to leave the order, the December Holiday season or any other reason out of our control, no refund for late delivery will be given.

What is "late"

Orders containing perishable items - hot dogs, knishes, pretzels - shipped within the Continental US are shipped via FedEx Standard Overnight. If you order is not delivered the day after it is shipped, it will considered late, except as noted above.

Orders containing perishble items shipped to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico are shipped via USPS Express Mail. For these orders, late will mean more than two days after the order is shipped, except as noted above.

Orders containing only condiments are shipped via USPS Priority Mail. There is no guaranteed delivery date for these orders.

By default, we do not require a signature for delivery. The delivery driver determines whether a package can be safely left without a signature. If you would like us to require a signature upon delivery, please note this in the special instructions field of the order form. Foods of New York will not be responsible for orders which are undeliverable due to a lack of a recipient if a signature is required.

Poor Condition

If your order is not in good condition when it is delivered, you will be eligible for a full refund unless an order is excesively delayed due to one of the reasons listed above.

Plain English

Our aim is to be fair to you and to ourselves. In plain language, our policy is that if it's is our fault, or the shipping company's fault, you get your money back. If it's your fault, you don't.
